STEAMWorks offers hands-on, tech-powered fun right at your child’s school!
Our after-school programs in Austin introduce elementary students to key STEAM concepts—all while having fun!
We offer two flagship programs: LEGO Robotics and our exciting new program, Drones.
Each class meets once a week for 5–6 week sessions. Programs are led by experienced instructors who are passionate about helping kids explore STEAM through hands-on learning. All experience levels are welcome, and each session features new kits, builds, or challenges—so students can return again and again and always discover something new.

LEGO Robotics
Every great invention starts with an idea- Designed to spark curiosity and creativity, our LEGO Robotics program introduces kids to the exciting world of engineering and coding through playful, project-based learning.
Using LEGO Education kits equipped with motors, sensors, and an intuitive coding app, students will build and program their very own robots. The app features both icon-based and word block coding, making it beginner-friendly and engaging for all learners.
Open to K–5th graders—no experience needed! Classes meet once a week and students can join at any time and move at their own pace, starting with a base kit and progressing to more advanced builds. Each kit includes 40–60+ unique projects, so there’s always something new to explore.
Each session offers fresh projects and challenges to keep every student learning and excited.
Drone Discovery
Take flight in this high-energy class where students dive into the exciting world of drone technology! Our Intro to Drones program combines hands-on flying with real-world STEAM learning, giving kids the chance to pilot drones, explore flight paths, and solve creative challenges through play and teamwork.
Using simple, kid-friendly controllers, students will learn how drones work, how to fly them safely, and how to complete fun missions and obstacle courses. Activities are designed to build confidence, coordination, and critical thinking skills—all while having a blast. After they master the introductory drones, students will move on to coding drones.
Open to 1st–5th graders—no experience needed! Classes meet once a week and students can join at any time and move at their own pace. Each session features fresh challenges and missions, so there’s always something new to explore.
This is more than just flying—it’s an introduction to future-ready skills through fun, hands-on learning.
